Hi, I'm Sheri Summers, and I asked over 100 people…

"What are your biggest questions
about speaking English?"
Then I answered those questions and put them in this easy-to-listen-to audio program.
-
How to get more listening practice.
-
How to understand what Americans say.
-
How to become fluent in English.
-
How to speak without translating or without thinking about grammar.
-
How to think fast in English in order to speak quickly.
-
How to speak English without the influence of your mother tongue.
-
How to know if you are speaking English well.
-
How to use your tongue in new ways to make the sounds of English.
Download the answers in this FREE audio mp3 . We will also give you this 26 page transcript so you can follow along as you listen and not miss anything.
(By the way, a lot of people have used the audio and transcript to do "tandem" reading, that is, they use it to practice reading the transcript out loud as they listen to the audio. It's a very useful method.)

Hi, I’m not sure what you mean by phenaticle. Do you mean phonetically?
You may be interested in knowing about my American Accent Workshop at http://www.accentworkshop.com. The reasons I suggest it are:
1. There are 16 video training classes on how to pronounce all of the sounds of English.
2. You can join live conference calls and practice your sounds directly with me.

How to become fluent in English?

The best way to become fluent in English is to surround yourself in it as much as possible. Listen to people, TV, movies, podcasts, radio, etc. Have conversations in
English or even talk to yourself when you are alone. Read newspapers, books, magazines. The more you can live in English, the faster you can become fluent.

Hi Hassan,
I love speaking to English teachers. To tell you the truth, my American Accent Workshop would be best for you. It goes through all of the sounds of American English in the first half (about 20 hours) and then intonation, rhythm and timing in the second half. I think it would be a good way to know how to teach pronunciation and accent to students.

There are so many ways you can work on your English. The best way is to be involved with other people and have a lot of opportunity to communicate. Classes are a good place to start, but there are also lots of things on the internet that can be helpful. We may even be adding some online classes soon. I will let you know.

Learning English idioms is a great idea because it takes you out of textbook English and puts you into real English. The American Accent Audio Course can help you a lot with expanding your listening skills as well as your speaking. This will prepare you for “real” English, too.

Most things about British and American English are the same, but there are some differences in both pronunciation and vocabulary. There shouldn’t be a big difference in word order.
